Team Member Spotlight: Insights from an HR Manager

In this team member spotlight, we explore Osnat’s growth at PSI, what she finds most rewarding about her career, and the advice she would give those wishing to join our team.

Describe your role within PSI.

As a Human Resources Manager at PSI, I oversee a range of HR responsibilities, including managing the overall employee lifecycle, from recruitment to onboarding, retention, and offboarding as well as providing consultation on labor laws and addressing employee relations issues. I also lead the team-building planning by organizing team-building activities, holiday toast celebrations, and various training sessions. In addition, I design and implement HR processes while ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations; and conduct training sessions on a global level consisting of Training & Resourcing (T&R) induction training, on a departmental level – T&R Department practical training for new team members, and on a local level on HR processes and office guidelines for local staff and managers.

How did you become interested in clinical research, and how have you grown professionally at PSI?

My journey into clinical research began when I joined the Training and Resourcing team at PSI as an HR Generalist about three years ago. While my decision to join the company was initially motivated by the opportunity to work for a global organization with team members worldwide and the unique challenges of being the first local HR in Israel, I soon discovered a passion for the Clinical Research field. Recognizing its significance in improving and saving lives, I find the CRO industry fascinating.

My career growth has primarily been evident in my involvement in creating and adapting global guidelines for the PSI Israel office and developing procedures specific to our office’s needs from scratch. Additionally, I’ve played a significant role in conducting training sessions and further expanding my skills and expertise in the HR field.

What do you find most rewarding about your career at PSI and what advice would you give to someone looking to join our team?

Building trusting relationships with country management, team managers, and the local staff has allowed my professional opinions to be valued and many times implemented. I appreciate the platform to voice my initiative ideas and the independence to carry out my responsibilities effectively.

My advice to someone considering joining our team would be: Go for it! At PSI, there are multiple opportunities for career growth and development. As long as you maintain high performance and based on available opportunities in correlation with the business needs, the company can offer limitless opportunities for advancement.

In the words of William Clement Stone, “Regardless of what you are or what you have been, you can still become what you may want to be.” At PSI, almost anything is possible.
